This year has been a busy one for 8BitDo. For instance, the company made four product announcements last month alone, including one designed to celebrate the Sega Saturn's 30th anniversary. 8BitDo has not finished releasing new devices in 2024 just yet, though.
Instead, it has decided to refresh the Ultimate 2C, which it initially presented in June with Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connectivity. Incidentally, 8BitDo introduced Black Myth: Wukong variants only a few months later. This time, it has unveiled the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth, which it claims it has designed with the Nintendo Switch in mind.

In truth, the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth should be compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth or wired USB controllers. At any rate, the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth features Hall effect joysticks, 6-axis motion control, rumble and a 480 mAh battery that should provide up to 15 hours of playtime. Moreover, the controller supports button remapping and an extra set of shoulder buttons.
Please note that the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth misses out on 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity. Nonetheless, it still retails for the same price as the regular Ultimate 2C. Currently, the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth can be ordered from Amazon for $29.99 in Blue and Pink colour options. However, a darker blue option should be available at some stage.
