A year ago, Hyperkin unveiled the DuchesS controller, a remake of the original Xbox Controller S of the 2000s. However, the Duchess Controller wasn't available to buy until August 2024. Originally announced in Black and White, Hyperkin has now announced the Xbox-licensed controller will be available in a third color soon.
The new color is a translucent green that matches the Halo: Combat Evolved's Xbox console released in 2004. It will be sold as the Special Edition Greenhaven DuchesS and will retain the $49.99 price tag of the other color options. Hyperkin is yet to reveal when the new color will be unveiled, but we hope we won't have to wait for 8 months as we did for the controller.

The DuchesS is a wired controller like the original Xbox Controller S, but with a detachable USB-C cable. It has Hall Effect joysticks with zero drift, bumpers that mirror the functions of the Black and White buttons on the original Xbox Controller, and impulse triggers that provide enhanced tactile feedback.
Hyperkin is the latest manufacturer to announce a translucent green accessory inspired by the original Xbox console. Last November, 8BitDo released an Xbox-themed version of its Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard and its Retro R8 Mouse. Both are going to be available to buy starting on January 16.
