Rumors suggest that a new Casio Poison Dart Frogman watch is in development. It is expected to build on the earlier GWF-A1000APF-1A watch, which launched in 2023 as part of a wider collection celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Frogman divers watches.
Recent reports indicate that this new Frogman watch would be based on the Frogman GW-8200 model, with a design inspired by a yellow poison dart frog. Features of the GW-8200 series include 200 m water resistance, tide and moon graphs and a dive timer. It supports world time across 48 cities and five alarms. Plus, there is an automatic backlight, and Tough Solar charging to extend the battery life. On top of this, the older Poison Dart Frogman GWF-A1000APF-1A also offers Bluetooth connectivity and is radio-controlled with Multiband 6.
Which of these features will be included with the new Casio Poison Dart Frogman diving watch remains to be seen. It is rumored to be launching later in 2025, but the company has yet to officially announce the model, leaving the release date and pricing unclear. The older GWF-A1000APF-1A was released in markets worldwide, retailing for $1,100/£949/€1,100.
