A brand-new Casio watch has made an appearance on French website David et Philly. The Vintage A130WE-1AEF model is now up for preorder, and it is set to be released in March 2025. The watch's striking resemblance to the Seiko G757—a watch famously worn by James Bond in Octopussy—should add a unique touch for collectors and retro watch enthusiasts alike.

The A130WE-1AEF features a stainless-steel finish with a rectangular case (40.5 × 33.9 × 9 mm), housing a multifunctional digital display. Its matte black dial includes contrasting white elements and orange highlights. The watch is powered by a quartz movement and features water resistance conforming to ISO 22810 standards.
As mentioned earlier, a notable comparison can be made to the Seiko G757, which was released in 1982. Both watches feature rectangular cases, bold dials with functional sub-displays, and integrated stainless-steel straps. The Casio A130WE-1AEF adopts a sleeker, more minimalist layout compared to the G757's bulkier design. While the G757 leaned heavily into its functionality for sports timing and tactical use, the A130WE-1AEF focuses more on a retro style, evident in its more refined lines and a new, modern LED illumination feature.
The Casio A130WE-1AEF will be marketed as a unisex model. Key features include:
- Digital Timekeeping: Multiple modes for time display and alarm functions.
- Water Resistance: Suitable for daily use with WR as per ISO standards.
- Plexiglass Crystal: Protecting the dial from minor scratches.
The A130WE-1AEF is available for preorder at €64.90 (~$66.85), with shipping expected in March 2025. There's a chance that the Vintage series timepiece will be launched in the EU first, considering its first appearance was on a European website. Plus, the watch is yet to show up on Casio's official channels - we can expect that announcement any day now.
