Rumors suggest that Casio is working on a gold version of the recently released CRW-001 Ring Watch. The original model launched in Japan in December and has sold out shortly after release in various countries, including the US.
Casio has not officially announced a gold version of the Ring Watch. However, an image showing the rumored wearable, which is expected to have model number CRW-001GD-9, has been shared by Goldblitz Sdn Bhd on Facebook. It is unclear where this image originated. Another reliable source, the Great G-Shock World blog, says it has “confirmed the existence” of the new ring, though it does not back up this claim.
It has been suggested that this gold version of the CRW-001 is based on the full metal G-SHOCK GMW-B5000GD-9 (curr. $410 at Amazon). The ring watch is expected to be ion-plated, and it appears to feature an inverted LCD with a dark background and light figures, as seen on the GMW-B5000 Series watch. Reports indicate that the Casio CRW-001GD-9 Ring Watch will launch in the second half of 2025, though an exact release date and pricing have yet to be discussed.
