The new Casio G-Shock GW-5000HS have arrived at an online store in Europe. These two heritage series models, the black GW-5000HS-1 and the white GW-5000HS-7, have been rumored since last year.
The wearables are already confirmed for Japan, where they will have model numbers GW-5000HS-1JF and GW-5000HS-7JF. These recently revealed product identifiers indicate that these are standard watches, not limited editions as initially rumored.
Now, the G-Shock GW-5000HS watches have been listed at French retailer David et Philly. Here, the models are listed as the GW-5000HS-1ER and the GW-5000HS-7ER. Both are currently available to pre-order for €299, with an expected release date of February 20th. According to the pages, the radio-controlled watches use Multiband 6, have a resin case and strap, and are water resistant to 20 ATM (200 m). They also offer tough solar charging with a two-year battery life estimate.
It is unclear whether these models will also roll out to other European countries like the UK and the Netherlands. The Casio G-Shock GW-5000HS series watches are expected to launch in Japan later this month for around ¥50,000 (~$318). They are also confirmed for the US market, where they will likely have model numbers GW5000HS-7 and GW5000HS-7, though the pricing and release date here has yet to be announced.
