Casio's latest G-Shock lineup features bold metallic colors, silicone bands, and classic durability, making the Fine Metallic Series an eye-catching addition to their iconic watch collection. Pricing starts from ¥37,400 (~$252).

Casio Japan has added some sparkle to the rugged G-Shock lineup with its newly launched Fine Metallic Series. Featuring the classic square 5600 and octagonal 2100 models, this collection leans into polished finishes and modern materials without losing its 'tough' reputation. Popular Casio news website G-Central also previously covered the details of these timepieces.

At the heart of these new models are stainless-steel bezels paired with soft silicone bands. The result? A mix of durability and comfort. Offered in silver and gold finishes, the watches hit the perfect balance between everyday functionality and statement-piece aesthetics. The four models and their pricing are listed below:

Both series come equipped with G-Shock essentials like shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, and an LED backlight for visibility in low-light conditions. The GM-5600 sticks to its roots with a retro digital display, while the GM-2100 adds a contemporary touch with its hybrid analog-digital design.

What really stands out here is the attention to materials. The stainless-steel bezels are polished for a reflective finish, while the silicone bands bring a softness that’s not usually associated with metal-heavy G-Shocks. It seems like a deliberate move to make these watches wearable in more settings—whether it’s a casual outing or a dressed-up event.

Unfortunately for international fans, the Fine Metallic Series is set to be released exclusively in Japan (from what we have so far). Given the popularity of previous limited-edition G-Shocks, these models are likely to become collector’s items in no time.
