Casio has officially launched three flashy new additions to its G-Shock lineup in the US: the GA-B001MW-8A, GA-2300MW-8A, and GD-B500MW-8. Each model comes with its own distinct features, design statement, and targeted functionalities. This lineup was previously launched in Japan in December 2024. Here's a detailed look at each watch.
GD-B500MW-8
The GD-B500MW-8 will cater to fitness enthusiasts with its step counter, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, and a power-efficient design with a two-year battery life on CR2016 cells. Although Tough Solar would've been a great addition, Casio has opted for the cheaper option here, it seems. The resin band and 200m water resistance should be great for everyday use, including workouts. Of course, you can't ignore the bold neon-yellow accents on its gray body. The watch should complement sneakers and sportswear quite well. Its Super Illuminator LED backlight and dual time zone should be great for convenience too.

GA-B001MW-8A
The GA-B001MW-8A has Carbon Core Guard construction for shock resistance while maintaining a lightweight build at 51g. This analog-digital hybrid supports Bluetooth connectivity, linking to the Casio Watches app for auto-time adjustments and global time synchronization across 300 world cities.
Its dual LED lighting system will handle readability in dark areas, while the translucent resin and carbon build add a modern touch to the whole aesthetic. It has a similar two-year battery life as the GD-B500MW-8A, and the hand-shift feature should ensure an unobstructed view of the digital display.
GA-2300MW-8A
For those preferring a more minimalist design, the GA-2300MW-8A should be right up your alley. It features shock resistance, 200m water resistance, and a sleek resin band, while being lightweight at just 49 grams. This model also incorporates a dual LED lighting system. The GA-2300MW-8A retains all essential features, including a full auto-calendar, world time with 31 zones, and a 24-hour countdown timer. Its three-year battery life surpasses the other two models, so there's that.
Pricing and Availability
All three models are now live in the US, with official listings on the Casio website. Pricing details and in-store availability aren't available as of writing. It should appear on the product pages linked below some time soon.
