Nvidia is gearing up for GDC 2025 and ahead of the conference, it reportedly shared that supply for RTX 50 series cards should improve and prices should stabilize as well. Finally some good news for Nvidia fans.

Looks like Team Green fans have some positive news as Nvidia is reportedly working with partners to improve supply and stabilize pricing for the RTX 50 series GPUs. Ever since the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 became available for purchase at the end of January, stocks have been abysmal, and pricing has been all over the place. It was the same situation with the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 GPUs as only a few lucky customers have been able to get their hands on them.

According to a report by Tweak Town citing a conversation with Nvidia’s Justin Walker, the company is working with retailers and AIB partners to ensure that whatever supply they have is sold at MSRP. He added, “the best way to do that is get more supply onto a shelf. As soon as the supply catches up to demand, we expect prices to stabilize." Furthermore, Walker stated that shipments for the GPUs have already ramped up and that it is working overtime to make sure that supply catches up to the demand.

As to when these claims bear fruit, only time will tell, but at least the company is seemingly making efforts to address the supply issues consumers have been dealing with for months now.

The conversation comes ahead of GDC 2025 and Nvidia shared some sales figures for its RTX 50 series. The company claims that it shipped twice as many RTX 50 series GPUs in the first five weeks after launch than the RTX 40 series lineup during the same period. Interestingly, all the four cards in the RTX 50 series launched within five weeks of each other, starting with the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 on January 30 up to the RTX 5070 on March 5. On the other hand, only the RTX 4090 that launched on October 12, 2022, was available for most of the first five weeks, with the RTX 4080 arriving on November 16. This suggest Nvidia is comparing sales of the entire RTX 50 series lineup with just the RTX 4090, making the claim of twice as many units shipped somewhat misleading.
