The list of games that support DLSS 4 is growing and now there are more than 100 apps and games that can utilize this upscaling API, as well as Multi Frame Generation. DLSS 4 is supported by older RTX GPUS as well.

Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 4 is now available in over 100 games and apps and the company says it is the “most rapidly adopted Nvidia game technology of all time”. The upscaling API was announced in January and the list of games that support it has been steadily growing, with more to come. Additionally, Nvidia also announced that it will be bringing Neural Shader tech for DirectX API in April.

The company shared a full list of supported games, and it includes titles like Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok, Star Wars Outlaws, THE FINALS, Ghostrunner 2, Ready or Not, and more, as well as some recently released titles such as FragPunk, Avowed, and others. This list will continue to grow as new games get support for DLSS 4 every week. All these titles support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation which is an AI-driven technology that generates up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame.

While this can dramatically improve FPS in games, not all games benefit from this tech. Fast paced shooters that require maximum accuracy and minimal latency may be negatively impacted by it as the “fake” frames can create input lag, inconsistent frame times, and visual artifacts. However, campaign-driven games would benefit from frame generation greatly.

Furthermore, Nvidia also shared some details about its Neural Shader tech and DirectX support. The technology is already available as part of the Nvidia RTX kit but now it will also support DirectX API. Neural rendering, which Nvidia calls the next era of computer graphics, uses tiny neural networks to generate textures, materials, lighting, and more for enhancing image quality as well as game performance. Nvidia is partnering with Microsoft to bring this tech to DirectX 12 Agility development kit and will be available next month.

DLSS 4 is supported by RTX 50, 40, 30, and 20 series GPUs but Multi Frame Generation is officially limited to only the RTX 50 series cards.
