Nvidia has not yet publicly mentioned the GeForce RTX 5050 in any capacity. Nonetheless, there is an increasing amount of evidence that the graphics card could soon enter Nvidia's desktop product stack with a higher TDP than the existing GeForce RTX 3050 (curr. $199.99 on Amazon).
Now, a corresponding laptop counterpart has been spotted online. As the screenshot below shows, French retailer PC21 references the GeForce RTX 5050 in relation to a new version of the MSI Venture Pro 16. Incidentally, the same laptop will also be available with the GeForce RTX 5060, albeit perhaps not until May.
The laptop version of the GeForce RTX 5050 could differ from its desktop sibling in a key area too. Based on recent leaks, Nvidia will offer the latter with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, presumably to create a clear dividing line between it and the GeForce RTX 5060. By contrast, PC21 suggests that the GeForce RTX 5050 will arrive on laptops with faster GDDR7 VRAM. Currently, Nvidia is expected to equip this laptop graphics card with its GB207 GPU, which should be the least powerful option in its Blackwell product line.
