Various sources have shared launch details about Nvidia's next crop of Blackwell-based GeForce RTX 50 series desktop graphics cards. To recap, the GeForce RTX 5070 landed this week, as did AMD's Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT to replace the RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT (curr. $519.99 on Amazon), respectively.
According to MEGAsizeGPU, Nvidia plans to release the GeForce RTX 5060 and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 'in about 10 days', which VideoCardz narrows to March 13. However, this is not when any of these cards will be available to purchase. Instead, MEGAsizeGPU indicates that RTX 5060 cards will not reach retailers until the middle of April.
While @harukaze5719 agrees regarding the GeForce RTX 5060 and 8 GB version of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, they claim to have received different launch information about the latter's 16 GB option. Allegedly, this model may actually arrive towards the back end of March. So far, @harukaze5719 has only outlined launch pricing for the GeForce RTX 5060, which they believe will launch for roughly $299.
If recent rumours are accurate, then Nvidia has based the GeForce RTX 5060 on its GB206 GPU with a mere 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM running at 28 Gbps on a 128-bit memory bus. By contrast, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is expected to land in 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM variants, both with GDDR7 memory running at the same speeds and on the same bus width as the GeForce RTX 5060. It remains to be seen at this stage whether Nvidia has opted for the GB205 or GB206 for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, though.
