Nvidia is rumoured to be lifting the lid on GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards later this month. Based on new leaks, it seems that a new set of workstation-grade graphics cards could be on the horizon too. For context, the RTX 6000 Ada Generation is now over two years old after debuting in September 2022.
Indications are that Nvidia plans to replace the RTX 6000 Ada Generation with two Blackwell-derived successors, one called the RTX Pro 6000 and the other called the RTX Pro 6000 X. Specifications for the latter remain unknown for now. Instead, the RTX Pro 6000 X has appeared in shipping manifests alongside its non-X sibling.
By contrast, Leadtek has been spotted offering up specifications for the RTX Pro 6000, or RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition to go by its full name. Allegedly, Nvidia will equip the RTX Pro 6000 with a GPU that provides 24,064 CUDA cores, 752 Tensor cores and 188 RT cores, compared to 21,760 CUDA cores, 680 Tensor cores and 170 RT cores for the GeForce RTX 5090 (curr. $4,990 on Amazon).
Moreover, Leadtek suggests that the RTX Pro 6000 contains 96 GB of GDDR7 EEC VRAM with 600 W Total Graphics Power (TGP). VideoCardz has also shared apparent pictures of the same card, which we have embedded above and below. The RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell series is expected to officially debut between March 17 and March 20 during GTC 2025 in San Jose.
