Bolt Graphics certainly doesn't carry the same weight as Nvidia, AMD or even Intel in the GPU space, but that hasn't stopped them from launching their second GPU.
Founded in 2020, Bolt Graphics is the brain child of Darwesh Singh. With a background in building data centers for large enterprise and experience designing ray tracing solutions as far back as 2014, his freshly launched GPU is designed for heavy-duty tasks like simulations and 3D graphics while also sipping just 120 watts of power.
The Zeus GPU comes with some unique features that are unlikely to ever make it to a consumer graphics card including onboard networking in the form of a 400 GbE QSFP and up to 32 GB of embedded GDDR5X sitting alongside upgradable DDR5 SODIMMs capable of supporting a whopping 2.25 TB. It even sports a standard 8 pin power connector that hopefully won't catch fire.
This isn't the company's first GPU, with that accolade going to the 2024 Bolt "Thunder" that carries a similar set of outlandish features.
With real time path tracing (called Glowstick) the card offers integration with AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, 3ds Max and Unreal Engine. Although "gaming" is mentioned as a feature, you are more likely to find this GPU rendering effects for TV and Film as opposed to driving your next cloud gaming session.
This is a card predominantly designed to reduce the time creators spend waiting for their output, and if the benchmarks above are to believed, production companies will undoubtedly be happy to pay the currently undisclosed premium for spending significantly less time waiting for effects to render.
For mere mortals, you may be better opting for an RX 9070, although realistically, you are more likely to find the Bolt Zeus in stock at your local Best Buy than any of the latest products Nvidia or AMD are offering.
