The Amazfit Helio Strap is receiving another software update. Version 3.1.2.3 arrives a couple of weeks after the 3.0.6.4 release, which improved the stability of the heart rate broadcast feature.
Recently reported by users on Reddit, software version 3.1.2.3 is a 2.24 MB file. The release notes state that the calculation behind the new BioCharge metric has been improved for cases where the Helio Strap is not worn for an extended period. As a reminder, this metric is designed to enable users to track changes to their enegy levels throughout the day.
The update also brings optimizations for automatic activity recognition to reduce reclassification. Plus, Amazfit Helio Strap users can now view changes to their heart rate in real time in the latest version of the Zepp app (9.10.0 for iOS and 9.9.6 for Android). On top of this, there are said to be other feature improvements and bug fixes, though these are not individually listed.
Software version 3.1.2.3 is expected to be rolling out in phases to users of the Helio Strap (curr. $99.99 at Amazon). It has been reported in the UK, though it is unclear when it will be available for users in all regions. You can check for the update in the Zepp app for iOS and Android.
