The Vivo X300 is expected to officially launch later in 2025 as one of the first devices running MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 chipset. According to a reliable leaker, Vivo will complement the flagship chipset with a new 200 MP primary camera offering 35 mm and 50 mm in-sensor zoom modes.

Digital Chat Station has weighed in on the state of the Vivo X300, having divulged details about its Pro sibling about a week ago. This time, the leaker has focused on the former's camera specifications, which they expect to depart from the existing X200 in a few areas.

On the one hand, Vivo is believed to have swapped out the 50 MP and 1/1.56-inch camera from the X200. Apparently, the company has settled on a new 200 MP sensor with a 1/1.4-inch optical format. In other words, the X300 will not rely on the ISOCELL HP2 that Samsung uses inside the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Edge (curr. $949.99 on Amazon) among other devices. Although exact details about this new 200 MP sensor remain unknown for now, Digital Chat Station believes that the X300 will use its high pixel count to offer 35 mm and 50 mm in-sensor zoom modes.

On the other hand, this primary camera will be joinbed by a new 1/2-inch and 3x telephoto camera, which would be a slightly smaller sensor than the one found on the X200. Other upgrades include the adoption of a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which should bring efficiency, performance and image signal processing improvements over the Dimensity 9400 used inside the X200.
