Aqara’s Touchscreen Switch S100 has been certified as a Matter compatible device by the Connectivity Standards Alliance. This smart home switch, which can be used to control wired lights and a range of smart home devices, was unveiled at CES 2025. Plus, a recent report provides details about this product’s launch.

The Aqara Touchscreen Switch S100 is now a Matter-certified device. The smart home accessory was announced at CES 2025 alongside other products like the Panel Hub S1 Plus and the Hub M100 (curr. $22.99 at Amazon).

Also known as the Aqara Touchscreen Switch S100 US, this new product recently appeared in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database. The CSA is the body responsible for the rollout and management of various smart home protocols, including Matter. In the filing, it is confirmed that the S100 will support Matter 1.4 over Thread, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Aqara describes the Touchscreen Switch S100 as a hybrid smart switch with two channels. Above the two physical buttons for wired lights sit a 1.3-inch touchscreen, for a wider range of smart home controls. As well as remotely controlling specific devices, users will also be able to trigger smart scenes and other automations. Plus, the touchscreen will allow for “fine-tuning” of settings like light brightness or thermostat heating level for some Aqara devices. On top of this, the integrated presence sensor can activate the screen when someone is detected, and the screen’s brightness is dynamically adjusted based on the ambient light level.

According to a report by Matter Alpha, Aqara has confirmed that the Touchscreen Switch S100 will launch exclusively in the US. As for its release date, that is expected to be closer to CES 2026, so possibly this coming January.
