Hisense has confirmed that the L9Q Triple Laser Ultra Short Throw Projector is about to start shipping in the US. This model, also referred to as a laser TV, was unveiled earlier this year at CES 2025 as a follow-up to the L9H. The rollout in this market has been somewhat delayed by issues with Dolby Vision, which are being resolved in an update.
According to a report by Tom’s Guide, a Hisense representative recently confirmed that it will start to ship the L9Q in August 2025. The company has not provided an exact date, and details about the product’s release in other countries have yet to be revealed.
The Hisense L9Q 4K@60Hz projector features the brand’s LPU Digital Laser Engine 2.0 with a triple laser light source, said to deliver up to 5,000 ANSI lumens brightness. This model also has a 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space and IMAX Enhanced. It can throw images up to 200 inches wide with a 0.18 throw ratio, and the picture is quickly perfected with tools like Auto Screen Alignment and Manual Keystone Correction. Various streaming services can be accessed through the Google TV interface, and there is a Game Mode with 12 ms input lag at 2K@120Hz. On top of this, there is an integrated 6.2.2 channel sound system, in collaboration with Devialet.
You can currently pre-order the Hisense L9Q Triple Laser Ultra Short Throw Projector directly from the company for $5,999.99. It is also available via ProjectorScreen.com for the slightly lower price of $5,997.97. In the UK, the model is expected to retail for £5,999, though it has yet to be officially listed on Hisense’s website in this country.
