Hisense has announced the L9Q TriChroma Laser TV, which will be on show at CES 2025 from January 7th. This 2025 model follows on from the older L9H, which was available as a 100-inch or 120-inch model. The latest laser TV comes with an Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screen in one of five sizes: 100, 110, 120, 136, and 150 inches.
According to Hisense, the L9Q features upgrades on its predecessor. For example, the TriChroma triple laser light source is said to deliver up to 5,000 ANSI lumens brightness, an improvement of 2,000 ANSI lumens. The coverage of the BT.2020 color space has also increased from 107% to 110%. Other features of the DLP projector include a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 0.18:1 throw ratio. Plus, auto screen alignment and manual keystone correction tools can be used to adjust the image.
Another enhancement is with the sound; the L9Q has built-in 6.2.2 channel speakers for a surround sound experience. Google TV allows users to stream content through a wide range of apps, and there is support for Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice commands. On top of this, connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and HDMI 2.1 ports. Hisense describes the model as premium, with a Black Walnut Decor Panel, ambient lighting, and brushed metal elements.
The release date and pricing of the Hisense L9Q TriChroma Laser TV have yet to be revealed. As a rough guide, the 100-inch Hisense L9H laser TV launched for $5,499.99 but is currently available at Amazon for $4,207.78.
