Xiaomi launches smart washing machines and washer-dryers outside China

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mijia washing machine and washer-dryer in Europe, following its earlier announcement to expand its major appliance lineup. The washer-dryer is priced at €479 (MSRP €559), while the standalone washing machine is available for €449 (MSRP €499). The washer-dryer carries an energy efficiency rating of Class D, with a consumption of 306 kWh per 100 standard drying cycles.

Both front-loading models feature a 525 mm drum diameter—an important factor for spin performance—and a maximum spin speed of 1,400 RPM. Each offers an 8 kg washing capacity, while the combo unit supports up to 6 kg for drying, which is typical for this type of appliance. A hot steam cycle helps reduce potentially harmful germs. Additional features include a color control panel for quick program selection, automatic high-temperature drum cleaning, and a 15-minute quick wash mode.

As expected, both appliances integrate with the Xiaomi Home app, enabling remote control and firmware updates. Xiaomi provides a two-year warranty, while the inverter motor is covered for up to 12 years.
