The Redmi K80 Pro is one of the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phones, but it has stayed exclusive to the Chinese market so far. Xiaomi has now brought the same flagship to the global market as the Poco F7 Ultra.

Poco's much-teased F7 Ultra is now official, and just like most of the predecessors, it's not actually a new phone. Instead, it's a rebrand of the Redmi K80 Pro, which launched as one of the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite phones in China and remained exclusive to the Chinese market.

Of course, the Poco F7 Ultra isn't a complete clone of the Redmi K80 Pro. There are some changes. For instance, Poco's new Snapdragon 8 Elite phone comes with a smaller capacity battery, a trend that has become quite common for Chinese phones that are making a global debut.

The good part is that the charging speeds remain the same. That is, the F7 Ultra can wirelessly charge at 50 W and has support for 120 W wired fast charging (140 W Anker 737 power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon). The phone's design has also seen a little change, with Poco's latest phone coming in the company's iconic black and yellow colors.

As for the other specs, they are pretty much the same as the Redmi K80 Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Elite of the phone is paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage. There's WildBoost Optimization 4.0, which aims to make the F7 Ultra deliver smooth gaming performance.

Regarding the cameras, the Poco F7 Ultra has a triple-camera setup, with the primary camera being a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 sensor. It's paired with a 50 MP 2.5x telephoto and 32 MP ultra-wide. On the front, this rebranded Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship has a 32 MP selfie shooter.

The front also features a 6.67-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a 3,200 nits peak brightness rating and up to 480 Hz touch sampling rate. Other highlights of the Poco F7 Ultra include the VisionBoost D7 gaming chipset, IP68 water and dust resistance rating, stereo dual-speaker setup, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and 4 years of promised Android updates with 6 years of security patches.

Pricing-wise, the Poco F7 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will cost €749.90 in the EU, while the variant with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage will go for €799.90.
