Oppo Find X8 Ultra confirmed to feature larger battery than Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Oppo will be fully unveiling its new camera phone on April 10, 2025, the Find X8 Ultra. So far, the company has revealed a couple of things about this upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite camera smartphone. In a recent Weibo post, the company's product manager of the Find series, Zhou Yibao, has now detailed the battery specs of the device.

As revealed by the company official in the comments section of that particular Weibo post, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature a 6,100 mAh battery, which is 1,100 mAh larger than the predecessor. This capacity is also higher than the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the X8 Ultra's direct competitor with a 5,410 mAh battery.

The company official adds that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will support 100 W fast charging (Anker Zolo 140 W curr. $76.49 on Amazon). While this is the same wired charging speed as the predecessor, Zhou Yibao notes that the phone can get from 0% to 100% in just 35 minutes. There's support for wireless charging as well, which maxes out at 50 W.

Earlier in March, Zhou Yibao showcased the camera sensors of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra. While that specific Weibo post didn't go into the details of the sensors, recent reports suggest that the primary camera will be a 50 MP Sony LYT-900. It will reportedly be paired with a Sony IMX882 50 MP ultrawide.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature two more sensors on the back, one of which will reportedly be a Sony IMX882, a 50 MP periscope with 6x optical zoom, and the other is rumored to be an IMX906 with 3x optical zoom. Other expected specs include a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
