Xiaomi is launching Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra on Thursday globally in a repeat of last year's Poco F6 series doubleheader. If recent rumours are accurate, a true successor to the Poco F6 (curr. $345 on Amazon) is not far behind.
Specifically, various sources claimed that Xiaomi has also developed the Poco F7 5G as a cheaper alternative to the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. With that being said, the Poco F7 5G could launch as an Indian exclusive alongside one of its Poco F7 series siblings.
While this remains unconfirmed for now, neither Xiaomi or Poco have started teasing the Poco F7 Pro or Poco F7 Ultra in India yet. Given the pair's imminent global arrival, it seems that Xiaomi is holding off from bringing the Poco F7 series to one of its most popular markets.
Seemingly, that is because Xiaomi is plotting a late spring launch event, with May or June mentioned by Abhishek Yadav in a recent tweet. According to the leaker, this is when the Poco F7 5G will officially debut too with Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. Incidentally, the successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is set to miss out on Oryn CPU cores altogether, unlike the Snapdragon 8 Elite and its eventual successor.
