When GoPro announced the Hero 13 Black action camera last September, it also announced three new HB-Series lenses for it. Two of those lenses — the Ultra Wide Lens Mod and the Macro Lens Mod — have been available to buy since last year, but the third which is the Anamorphic Lens Mod just became available to buy.
When attached to the GoPro Hero 13 Black, the Anamorphic Lens Mod allows users to record in an ultrawide angle 21:9 aspect ratio which gives the footage a cinematic feel. The lens mod also adds lens flares to the footage. The best part of the lens mod is that the Hero 13 Black (curr. available on Amazon for $329.99) automatically adjusts its settings once the lens is attached, and switches back to standard settings when removed.
The Anamorphic lens mod, which is scratch-resistant and waterproof is priced at $129.99 and is available to buy on the GoPro shop. The Ultra Wide Lens Mod is also available to buy for $99.99 while the Macro Lens Mod is priced at $129.99. GoPro is also offering a bundle called the HB-Series Lens Collection which includes all three lenses and a pack of four ND filters for $349.99. This is a sensible purchase for anyone who needs all the accessories as buying each lens and the pack of filters individually sums up to $425.96.
It has also been reported that GoPro will sell a bundle that includes the HB-Series Lens Collection and the Hero 13 Black for $699.99, saving buyers over $125 if purchased separately. However, this bundle won't be available until next quarter.
