GoPro Hero 13 Black gets a white variant, but you should buy the original instead

The GoPro Hero 13 Black is GoPro's latest action camera. Announced in September 2024, the camera is available to buy in a single black/dark gray color. Now, GoPro has announced the camera in a new hue dubbed Polar White.

The new GoPro Hero 13 Black in Polar White is functionally identical to the black colorway, so there's no difference in features. However, many who might find the black colorway boring may prefer the new white variant. The camera isn't entirely white as the bezels around the displays and the camera lens are black. The mounting system underneath also retains the black color while the GoPro branding and model name have a blue font.

The Polar White GoPro Hero 13 is available to buy now for $399.99 on the GoPro online shop, the same price the black variant cost at launch. However, unless you absolutely want the camera in white, you are better off buying the black variant which is currently on sale.

GoPro is offering buyers a $70 discount off the black variant of the Hero 13 Black which is roughly 18% off its launch price. You can also pick it up at the discounted price of $329.99 on Amazon, although it still costs more than the DJI Osmo Action 4 which is currently available for $209 (30% off) on Amazon.
