Over the last few generations of action cameras, DJI has been offering up some impressive specifications, often outpacing GoPro both in terms of value and features. While both DJI and GoPro stepped up their respective games in the latest generation, the DJI Osmo Action 4 puts up some seriously features and video capabilities. If you're on the hunt for a durable, affordable action camera for anything from travel videography to action sports filming, the Osmo Action 4 might be a solid choice.

The DJI Osmo Action 4 also offers a wider field of view than that of the GoPro Hero 13 Black, at 155° compared to the GoPro's roughly 130°, but that can be extended further to 182° with the Osmo Action FOV Boost lens. DJI claims that the Osmo Action 4 can record video for up to 160 minutes on a single charge, while fast charging brings the battery up to 80% in just 18 minutes.
As for actual video recording chops, the DJI Osmo Action 4 is capable of recording 4K video at up to 120 fps slow-motion, with support for HEVC/H.264, and it tops out at 130 Mbps. It also delivers features like 10-bit colour depth and D-Log M Color, which delivers wider dynamic range for more editing flexibility. Video stabilisation is still handled by EIS in the Osmo Action 4, but it offers support for horizon locking, and the RockSteady 3.0 stabilisation algorithms work even while recording at 4K 120 fps.
