DJI Osmo Nano rears its head as new pocketable action camera in early leak
DroneXL has revealed early details about another unreleased DJI product. For context, new leaks pertaining to the Flip, Mini 5 and Neo 2 drones have all surfaced in the last few days. A new Osmo Action camera may be lined up for a release later this year, despite the relatively recent arrival of the Action 5 Pro globally (curr. $349 on Amazon).
An entirely new line of action cameras can also now be added to the list of forthcoming DJI devices. Based on DroneXL's findings, DJI is working towards delivering the Osmo Nano as the first representative in what will be later known as the Nano series. Although specifics about the Osmo Nano are unknown for now, the information that DroneXL has obtained shows that the Osmo Nano is being developed under the model number 'ow001'.
Given the connotations associated with the word 'nano', we suspect that the Osmo Nano will be eventually line up as the smallest entry in DJI's action camera product stack. Potentially, that could see the return of the form factor of the Osmo Action 2, which DJI has since moved away from in recent years. In the meantime, the company may be preparing to target the Insta360 X4 and GoPro Max with a 360-degree action camera of its own.
