New major DJI Flip leaks reveal pricing, release date, ultra-lightweight compact drone design (249g), 48 MP camera, 31-minute flight time, foldable build, and advanced features like O4 transmission and 3-axis gimbal.

The DJI Flip is a highly anticipated upcoming drone from the renowned Chinese manufacturer. After the promo images and some specs (plus features) were leaked in the past, the Flip continues to take shape as new leaks have now surfaced, detailing its features, specifications, and more importantly, its pricing and official announcement date. As per known leaker @JasperEllens on X/Twitter, a Croatian retailer has listed the drone in three combos priced at €449 (~$460), €659 (~$676), and €809 (~$830).

Weighing in at less than 300 grams (around 249g with the standard battery and microSD), the DJI Flip will be pretty portable while retaining advanced features. Its foldable design should make it highly compact, measuring only 136×62×165mm when folded and expanding to 233×280×79mm when in use. The lightweight nature of the Flip positions it as a travel-friendly choice for both beginners and professionals.

The DJI Flip is powered by a 3110mAh battery, providing up to 31 minutes of flight time at constant speeds or 28 minutes when hovering. The drone can reportedly handle challenging conditions with wind resistance of up to 10.7m/s and a horizontal speed of 12m/s in Normal and Sport modes, reaching up to 16m/s with favorable tailwinds. It also supports features like a 3-axis mechanical gimbal for stabilization and an advanced sensor system, including front-facing 3D ToF sensors.

If the leaks are to believed, the drone will feature an integrated 48MP camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor (as reported in past leaks as well). With features such as a 24mm lens (f/1.7 aperture), 4K video recording at 60fps, and vertical shooting modes tailored for social media, the Flip somewhat bridges the gap between professional and recreational drone users. Additionally, DJI has focused on user experience with an O4 video transmission system that delivers up to 13km of range in ideal conditions and battery charging options, including fast charging at 65W via an optional charging hub.

The Flip also seems to come with tailored modes for aerial photography, creative social media content, and sports or adventure activities. These features, combined with tough materials and GPS support (GPS + Galileo + BeiDou), should help it stand out in the compact drone market.

A recent tweet from another reliable tipster, @Quadro_News on X/Twitter, touted the official release date as January 14, which is only 3 days from the time of writing. The leaker also posted some live DJI Flip images shortly before the aforementioned announcement - you can check them out below the embedded tweets (see below).
