Jasper Ellens has revealed early details about yet another prototype DJI drone. In recent weeks, various sources have shared information about several other unreleased DJI drones like the Mavic 4 Pro, Mini 5 and Neo 2. The same company may also have the Osmo Action 6, Osmo Mobile 7, Osmo Mobile 7P and the RS 4 Mini in advanced stages of development.
While it is already evident that DJI is working to update its Mavic, Mini and Neo series, a new Air drone appears to be on the horizon, too. The drone in question is said to be the Air 4, which Ellens asserts has not been photographed before. Although the leaker has merely published a screenshot of the Air 4 from a longer video, three top-mounted sensors for obstacle avoidance are visible with a similar layout to equivalents on the Mavic 4 series.
Other changes from the Air 3S (curr. $1,199 on Amazon) include thicker arms and what could be a revised front-mounted sensor array. According to Ellens, DJI is not close to replacing the Air 3 series with a fourth-generation model. In fact, the leaker emphasises that there is no guarantee that this prototype will proceed as planned. If it were to, then Ellens expects DJI to take 'until the end of the year' to officially release a new Air series drone.
