It seems that DJI's next high-end consumer drone could soon, after a long period of development. Officially, DJI has not revealed anything yet. However, long-time drone leaker Jasper Ellens has now shared new footage of the Mavic 4 Pro, which has been spotted several times in the last few months.
On the basis of the video below, it appears that the Mavic 4 Pro will miss out on LiDAR despite debuting last year on the Air 3S (curr. $1,099 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the upcoming drone has a huge camera housing, which is said to contain the following hardware:
- Primary: 4/3-inch CMOS sensor, 24 mm equivalent focal length, dual native ISO
- Telephoto: 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor, 166 mm equivalent focal length
- Medium telephoto: 1/1.3 or 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor, 50 MP equivalent focal length
Additionally, these cameras are rumoured to sit on within a new gimbal that provides up to ±90 degrees of tilt. Recent rumours suggest that the Mavic 4 Pro could offer over 50-minute flight times, as well as ProRes 422 HQ and ProRES 4444 XQ support on the more expensive Cine variant. Ellens adds that the long-awaited RC Track may join the Mavic 4 Pro during a simultaneous release, although it remains to be seen when at this stage.
My friend YueYue who send me the #DJIFlip video now send me this exclusive #Mavic4Pro video animation. Meanwhile it is a strong rumor the #delayed #RCTRACK finally be introduced with the M4P. More leaks on that later. Cheers! Jasper pic.twitter.com/WCQP9BfSI3
