Various high-profile leakers have returned once again to reveal new details about what is shaping up to be DJI's next consumer drone release. For context, while several DJI drones have leaked online lately, the Air 3S remains the company's most recent consumer drone release (curr. $1,099 on Amazon).
Based on new leaks, the Flip will contain an unusual concoction of features. For instance, it appears that the drone will support cellular connectivity, which escapes most of DJI's recent drone releases. Moreover, the Flip will be compatible with ND filters, as well as Quick Shot autonomous flight maneuvers.
On top of that, leaker Jasper Ellens speculates that the Flip will be able to double as a first-person view (FPV) drone, much like the cheaper Neo that DJI launched earlier this year. Surprisingly, the Flip seems to master LiDAR too, despite its compact form factor.
Ultimately, it still remains to be seen when DJI will officially introduce the Flip at this stage. To that end, the company has not yet hinted at when it will be offering up new products. Nonetheless, the volume and detail of recent leaks suggest that the Flip could be close to making its debut globally.
