Huawei rebranded its P series to Pura series with the launch of the Pura 70 lineup. The Pura 70 lineup featured multiple models, including the standard, Pro, and Ultra. Now, a new leak has revealed the possible camera specifications for the Pura 80 Ultra, which will be the top-of-the-line smartphone in the upcoming Pura 80 lineup.
The leak from reputable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Pura 80 Ultra will feature a 50MP 1-inch type sensor with variable aperture. The primary sensor will be paired with a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 1/1.3” periscope zoom lens. It is also worth noting that the leaker says that this camera setup is for the technical testing stage, and the final camera setup could turn out to be different.
For comparison, the Pura 70 Ultra launched with a 50MP primary sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP macro telephoto camera. It featured a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1260 x 2844 pixels. The Kirin 9010 chipset, based a 7nm architecture, powered the flagship smartphone. In the battery segment, the phone featured a 5,200mAh capacity with 100W wired fast charging support. The phone was launched in April 2024, and hence we can expect the Pura 80 Ultra to launch around the same time in 2025.
