The Pura 80 series of premium smartphones is likely to consist of vanilla, Pro and Ultra variants, based on the release of their predecessors. Only some of them might debut with the most interesting now features Huawei will have to offer at the time, though.
The Pro variant is now said to have something that might have heretofore thought to be something reserved for its top-end Ultra counterpart: a 1-inch main camera.
Much like that of the potentially competing Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the sensor might have a 50MP resolution to go with its class-leading form-factor - however, it is also thought to come directly from Huawei itself rather than a third-party vendor such as Sony or OmniVision.
Huawei will release the self-developed sensor under the new brand name SmartSens, according to the typically knowledgeable leaker Digital Chat Station. Its alleged 1-inch flagship (or "SC5A0CS") might be joined by a smaller 1/1.3-inch sibling that might also debut in the Pura 80 Ultra, if not the 80 Pro.
