The Pura X is Huawei's latest attempt to disrupt the foldable smartphone market, having introduced the world's first tri-fold last year. To recap, the Pura X offers a new take on the clamshell foldable form factor, which is considerably wider than those offered by the Galaxy Z Flip6 or Razr 50 Ultra (curr. $699.99 on Amazon).
Officially, the Pura X is only available in China. While that may change over time, it could take Huawei months to do so if the Mate XT Ultimate Design is anything to go by. In the meantime, Average Dad Tech is offering the Pura X worldwide at the following prices, including taxes:
- 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage - $1,250
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage - $1,513/$1,553 (Black & Green variants)
- 16 GB RAM/1 TB storage - $1,685 (Black & Green variants only)
Average Dad Tech stresses in a recent video that these prices may be lowered later this week. It is worth noting that the Pura X does not run Android. Instead, Huawei has pre-installed HarmonyOS 5.0, which is also known as HarmonyOS NEXT. On top of that, Average Dad Tech will not begin shipping until April at the earliest. Please see our Pura X launch article for technical details.
