The ever-reliable Roland Quandt has chimed in on Motorola's next-generation flagship foldable and its whereabouts. To recap, the Razr 60 Ultra has popped up from various quarters in the last few weeks. While the device's design was already known, Quandt has now highlighted several areas in which the Razr 60 Ultra will improve upon its predecessor.
For example, the Razr 60 Ultra is said to adopt a 4,700 mAh battery for a 17.5% capacity upgrade over the Razr 50 Ultra (curr. $439 - refurbished on Amazon). This larger battery will be joined by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and up to 16 GB of RAM compared to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM offered in last year's model.
According to Quandt, 16 GB of RAM will be joined by 512 GB of storage, dual SIM connectivity and a trio of 50 MP cameras. In other words, the 32 MP internal camera from the Razr 50 Ultra will be swapped out for a higher resolution 50 MP equivalent. Allegedly, the Razr 60 Ultra moves up to a 7-inch internal display too; it is unclear whether Quandt has rounded up from 6.9-inches here, though.
The 165 Hz foldable display will be joined by a 4-inch cover display for a €1,299 launch price. Quandt adds that the Razr 60 Ultra may officially debut on April 3, going off the date included in a promotional image. The fact that April 3 does not fall on a Tuesday this year and that other leaked promotional images show April 23 instead leads us to believe that these are illustrative rather than a nod to the device's arrival. Nonetheless, a spring launch appears likely, given the volume of official-looking images that have already leaked online.
