Rumours about Samsung's first 'Fan Edition' foldable have taken a few turns in the last couple of months. A recent leak suggests that the company has locked in the device's design though, even if this is broadly unchanged from the existing Galaxy Z Flip6 (curr. $947.99 on Amazon).
According to GalaxyClub, the so-called Galaxy Z Flip FE or Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is destined to launch with a slower chipset than previous reports suggested. To recap, there were suggestions that the foldable would be the only outing for the Exynos 2500 after it was spotted earlier this year inside Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus prototypes.
Citing exclusive information, GalaxyClub claims that at least the international variant (SM-F761B) will utilise the same Exynos 2400e chipset found in the Galaxy S24 FE. The website implies that the North American version (SM-F761U) could leverage a different chipset. However, it has not shared any other information in this regard.
Nonetheless, all versions should ship with the same camera hardware borrowed straight from the Galaxy Z Flip5. Consequently, GalaxyClub believes that the Galaxy Z Flip FE has 12 MP primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras complemented by a 10 MP selfie camera. Other details about Samsung's first Galaxy Z Flip Fan Edition remain unknown for now, including a precise release date. Instead, the device is expected to launch after the Galaxy Z Flip7, which is anticipated to arrive in July.
