There was plenty of evidence that Samsung intended to use the Exynos 2500 inside some versions of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. While poor yields may have stopped that plan in its tracks, the Exynos 2500 could find a home in the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which is now believed to be arriving after the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7.

Samsung is still expected to deliver four foldables this year. However, they may not arrive in the order that had previously been expected. To recap, prior rumours suggested that Samsung would deliver B7, B7R and Q7 simultaneously as the Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip Fan Edition (FE) and the Galaxy Z Fold7.

Meanwhile, release rumours about Samsung's first tri-fold, codenamed 'Q7M', have oscillated between late 2025 and early 2026. According to new reports, Samsung has decided to split the Galaxy Z Flip FE off from its summer Galaxy Unpacked event, during which it will focus on successors to the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,099.99 - renewed on Amazon).

Apparently, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will now launch this autumn, which would align with previous 'Fan Edition' releases like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and the Galaxy S24 FE. The Galaxy Z Flip FE may also represent the first outing for the Exynos 2500, whose yields were rumoured to be too low for use in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. Reportedly, Samsung anticipates demand for the Galaxy Z Flip FE to reach about 900,000 units, roughly a third lower than the Galaxy Z Flip7.
