Samsung is pressing ahead with expanding eligibility of its latest One UI Beta Program to more devices. To recap, the company initially announced that One UI 7 would land in stable form this month for just under 20 devices. Shortly afterwards, it extended this list to about 40 by adding smartphones like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series.
These lists only focused on Samsung's flagship Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S and Galaxy Z divisions, although this did include certain mid-range options like the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) (curr. $346 on Amazon). Unsurprisingly, it turns out that the company has been testing its Android 15-based update on other devices too.
To that end, Samsung has now opened its One UI 7 Beta Program to the Galaxy A55, which it introduced last year with its in-house Exynos 1480 chipset. The company is restricting eligibility to South Korea for now, as is often the case with early beta additions. Nonetheless, we would expect the Galaxy A55 to begin receiving One UI 7 Beta builds within the next few days in other markets. Samsung hosts registrations for its One UI Beta Program on its Members app, which it distributes via the Galaxy Store.
