With their up-to-50MP variable aperture main cameras, 60MP selfie cameras and distinctive plaid rear panels, the Huawei Nova 13 series are equipped to compete with other smartphones such as those of the Oppo Reno13 series on the Chinese market despite their lack of Android.
Now, their successors are thought to ship with HarmonyOS 5: cross-platform software also thought to launch with Huawei's potentially exciting, custom ARM-based 2025 laptop.
The Nova 14 and 14 Pro might also be joined by an Ultra flagship for the first time in a few years. The top-end variant is thought to have an unusually high-end Kirin 9-series SoC augment its camera array with a new "multi-spectral" sensor.
It might also have a 12MP telephoto lens - although that might be less of a flex as the 13 Pro has the same spec.
The Nova 14 Ultra might also have a 1TB internal storage version in addition to 256GB and 512GB options, while the 14 and 14 Pro might only have the last 2.
All 3 members of the new line are thought to have no more than 12GB of RAM, however.
