Infinix has unveiled a new Note 50x 5G smartphone. The new sibling in the Note 50 series comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, a 120 Hz display, a 50 MP rear camera, and a 5,500 mAh battery, among other features. This new mid-range phone starts at INR 11,499 ($135) in India.

Infinix has introduced its latest Note 50x 5G smartphone, a fourth sibling in its mid-range Note 50 series lineup. This is the most affordable smartphone of the series and comes as a direct successor to the Infinix Note 40x. It comes with significant upgrades over the predecessor in terms of processor, battery, and overall design.

The Infinix Note 50x 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor (up from the Dimensity 6300 of the Note 40x) paired with an Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, up to 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage with room for storage expansion via microSD slot. Software-wise, it runs on Android 15-based XOS 15 out of the box. The company has promised 2 major Android updates (Android 16 & 17) and 3 years of security updates.

While the phone looks almost similar to the last generation from the front, the company has completely overhauled the back design of the smartphone. The dual-camera setup is housed in a gem-cut-shaped module with active halo lighting. The phone features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and an unknown secondary sensor. Upfront, there’s an 8 MP (down from 32 MP of the 40x) selfie shooter.

The 5G-enabled smartphone has a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 672 nits. The battery capacity is also bigger than before. A 5,500 mAh battery powers the device that supports 45 W wired charging. Additionally, it has bypass charging and 10 W wired reverse charging support.

Infinix also includes several generative AI features in the Note 50x, such as an AI wallpaper generator, AI note, AI gallery, AI eraser, AI cut-out, a writing assistant, circle to search, and more. Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, IP64 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, and NFC support.

Available in sea green (vegan leather finish), enchanted purple, and titanium grey (metallic finish) colorways, the Infinix Note 50x 5G starts at INR 11,499 (~$135) for the base 6 GB + 128 GB model, and the 8 GB + 128 GB model is priced at INR 12,999 (~$150). The device will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart starting 3rd April 2025.
