Xiaomi has refreshed the affordable Redmi G24 gaming monitor. The newer offering amps up the refresh rate to 240 Hz, which is a decent upgrade from the 180 Hz refresh rate of the last version. However, the panel still retains the same FHD resolution as the predecessor.
The company further details that the new affordable gaming monitor sports a 4000:1 contrast ratio, which, paired with the HDR 400 certification, should lead to brighter image outputs. Xiaomi also claims that the 23.8-inch panel has 94% DCI-P3 color coverage, emphasizing that it can offer rich and detailed color output.
Getting back to the gaming-centric aspects of the new Redmi G24, the panel has adaptive sync for reducing screen tearing. The display also has an MPRT response rate of 1 ms, which should lead to a responsive gaming experience. There are multiple eye protection features for comfortable viewing.
Other notable features of the new Redmi G24 gaming monitor include a sleek stand with a port for cable management, tilt adjustments, and slim bezels for building easy multi-monitor setups (Huanuo triple monitor mount curr. $119.99 on Amazon) .
Price-wise, the new Redmi G24 is available in China at CNY 569, which is around $79. There's no official word from Xiaomi about the global debut of this affordable gaming monitor, but the company did bring the past versions outside China.
