The Armor 28 Pro has already been unveiled by Ulefone, but can now also be ordered from regular online retailers and not just Chinese marketplaces. More specifically, this rugged smartphone has been listed on Amazon for $579, but a $50 coupon reduces that price to $529. The phone is sold by a marketplace seller but shipped directly by Amazon and features 5G connectivity as well as a rich feature set.
These features include a 64-megapixel night vision camera with four infrared LEDs, which also work in complete darkness. Furthermore, there is a second round display that can show notifications or a clock and measures 1.04 inches. According to the manufacturer, the Armor 28 Pro meets the IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H standards. Ulefone also opted for a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,200 nits, while the resolution is listed as 1080 x 2400 pixels. An always-on mode is supported.
Moreover, the rugged smartphone sports the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, which is a pretty modern chipset and is paired with 16GB of memory and 512GB of mass storage. The latter can be expanded to up to 2TB via microSD, even when two SIM cards are being used. A large 10,600mAh battery is on board as well, and it can be charged at up to 120 watts wired or 50 watts wirelessly. Wireless reverse charging is supported, which is useful for charging accessories like headphones or even other smartphones. Meanwhile, the uSmart interface can be used to connect a microscope or endoscope.
For its main camera, the Ulefone Armor 28 Pro is equipped with a Sony IMX989 with 50 megapixels. This image sensor is very large and measures an entire inch, and the camera can be triggered via a dedicated button. Last but not least, the phone comes with Android 14 preinstalled, but an update to Android 15 is already available according to the manufacturer.
