As part of this year's Google I/O, which is where Android 16 and Wear OS 6 have just been officially unveiled, Google released a video featuring Nothing founder Carl Pei and the Nothing Phone (3). According to the video, the flagship will likely be positioned as a more expensive and better-equipped alternative to the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro (from $550 on Amazon) and should hit the market this summer.
This aligns with earlier statements regarding a launch in the third quarter, meaning between July and September 2025. Surprisingly, Carl Pei has even revealed the price point. Accordingly, the Nothing Phone (3) will have a list price of around £800 in Great Britain, which turns it into the manufacturer's most expensive smartphone thus far.
This would currently convert to a US price of roughly $899 considering that UK prices include 20% VAT. In order to justify this rather high price, the Nothing Phone (3) supposedly uses "premium materials" and gets a significant performance upgrade. Assumably, the phone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.
However, Carl Pei did not reveal any specific details about the features yet, and the phone has been pixelated to hide its design. That said, a look at our detailed review of the Nothing Phone (2a) shows that there is definitely room for improvement. Nothing’s current top-of-the-line phone lacks wireless charging, has an unusually loud vibration motor and a rather slow USB-C port with data speeds of just 480 Mbit/s. Moreover, the 8MP ultrawide camera with its tiny 1/4-inch sensor could arguably use an upgrade as well.
