Now that the dust has settled on the CMF Phone 2 Pro and the new CMF earbuds, Nothing has announced a partnership with British audio company, KEF. Established in 1961, KEF is a household name in the audio space with a product range that includes HiFi speakers, sound bars, subwoofers, headphones, and bookshelf speakers, etc.
In a press release published on the KEF website, the audio company announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Nothing 'to explore new frontiers in sound innovation and bring refined audio experiences to a broader audience'. The partnership will result in products that combine KEF's audio prowess with Nothing's unique designs.
The press release also had statements from Nothing's head of smart products, Andrew Freshwater, who disclosed that the first products borne from the partnership will arrive this year.
While many might guess that KEF's audio tech will power future Nothing earbuds such as a successor to the Nothing Ear (a) (available on Amazon for $99), the press statement hints at the launch of new product categories. If we took a guess, we'd say we might see Nothing announce a Bluetooth speaker or over-the-ear headphones. There's also the possibility KEF's audio technology may make its way into Nothing smartphones.
