Sennheiser has a new pair of earbuds called the Accentum Open with a design similar to that of the AirPods 4. Sennheiser says its open fit design allows users to remain aware of their environment and also eliminates ear fatigue.
The Accentum Open has a stem design, weighs 4.4 grams per earbud, and comes in an AirPods' style case. Each earbud has an 11mm driver and dual beamforming microphones that filter out background noise for clear calls. The earbuds also have an IPX4 rating so you can wear them in the rain or during a workout session. There's Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth Multipoint for simultaneously pairing to two devices.
Sennheiser claims the Accentum Open has a battery life of 6.5 hours on a single charge and a total of 28 hours with the charging case. It also has fast charging, as a 10-minute charge with the case plugged in will provide 1.5 hours of listening time. The earbuds support SBC and AAC codecs.
Available in black and cream, the Accentum Open will be available in early June for $129.95 in the US, the same price as the AirPods 4. They will also be available in Canada for $149.95. Those in Europe can already buy the earbuds now for €89.90 on Amazon while those in the UK have to pay £69.99.
