Tesla Cybertruck owners get free one-year FSD, lose Autosteer
Tesla has contacted Cybertruck owners to inform them of its latest promo: free Full Self-Driving (FSD) for a year. The company previously offered FSD on the Foundation Series trim but is now expanding it to other versions.
The freebie differs from the 30-day FSD trial that comes with some Tesla cars. Cybertruck owners must sign up for FSD before June 6, 2025, using a special link to activate the one-year offer. They have to cancel the subscription to avoid being automatically charged $99/month when the trial expires.
Other Cybertruck owners who have an FSD subscription have already reported seeing their expiration date extended by 12 months. The email's wording also suggests the promotion is open only to early adopters.
Another interesting point from the message is the future of the Autosteer on Cybertrucks. Tesla preloads the feature on other models but not the Cybertrucks, and the electric pickup owners will be disappointed to read that Autosteer will be bundled with FSD. This means they might never have Autosteer if they do not renew their FSD subscription.
Autosteer helps the car maintain its lane by detecting lane markings, road edges, and other vehicles, although drivers must remain alert to take control at any time.

We encourage you to experience our latest version of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) to immerse yourself in the power of its innovation.
As a thank you for being an early Cybertruck adopter, we are offering you a free, 1-year trial of Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
In order to qualify for the 1-year trial, you will need to subscribe to Full Self-Driving (Supervised) by June 6, 2025, using the link below. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you will still receive the 1-year trial.
