The Tesla Cybertruck is not the company’s fastest-moving vehicle, sales-wise. However, the automaker has decided to make the most expensive variant even costlier with a mandatory Luxe Package.
The Cyberbeast will now set buyers back by $15,000 more. The Cybertruck top trim will now start at $114,990, but will offer a few additional features.
Tesla has bundled Full Self-Driving (Supervised) into the new Luxe Package. The advanced driver assistance is available for a monthly subscription of $99. Tesla is also offering a four-year premium service plan that covers wheel alignment, tire rotations, front camera cleaning, and replacement of the HEPA filter and wiper blades.
Perhaps the most noteworthy feature of the Luxe Package is the lifetime Supercharging. However, while it is unlimited, Tesla states that Cyberbeast owners will still be responsible for other charging fees, such as idle and congestion fees, where applicable. Restrictions include a ban on commercial charging, including for taxi, rideshare, or delivery services. Tesla is also forbidding transferring the charging pass to subsequent vehicle owners or to another vehicle.
The last feature is premium connectivity, allowing you to listen to music, stream movies, and monitor live traffic. However, some of the features may require paid subscriptions.
As the most powerful Cybertruck, the all-wheel drive Cyberbeast produces 845 hp from three electric motors, boasting a top speed of 128 mph and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. It can last up to 320 miles between charges and tow up to 11,000 lbs.
