The vintage-inspired Volkswagen ID.Buzz captured many hearts when it was released. The German automaker is now making leasing the electric van easier on the wallet by quietly increasing the lease bonus by $3,000, bringing the total to $10,500. The result of the boost is a drop of $90 on the effective monthly payments.
The 2025 ID.Buzz lease deal now means customers can pay as low as $589/month on a 36-month contract for the Pro S trim. Only $5,999 is due at signing, which comprises a $4,711 down payment, the first month's lease, and an acquisition fee of $699.
The ID.Buzz Pro S lease offer applies only to new models. There is no security deposit required, but customers must qualify through Volkswagen Financial Services
The Volkswagen EV lease discount in the US (excluding Puerto Rico) is ending on September 30, but the company notes that stocks are limited, meaning the fastest lessees will benefit first.
The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Pro starts at $59,995. It offers a driving range of up to 260 miles (EPA estimates) from a 91 kWh (usable) battery pack. Charging can be done at thousands of Tesla’s Superchargers in the US with the appropriate adapter. The powertrain consists of a rear-mounted electric motor producing 282 hp, which is sufficient to accelerate the bus from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.5 seconds.
Other key features include a 12.9-inch touch-enabled center display for accessing settings and infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control with pollen filter, and an optional panoramic roof.
Edmunds reviewers gave the 2025 Buzz.ID high scores for its roomy interior, tech offerings, and nostalgic appearance.
