Sony is expected to replace the WH-1000XM5 (curr. $291.50 on Amazon) tomorrow with its first XM6 release. For reference, the launch will occur just two days after Sony presented the Xperia 1 VII worldwide. Unfortunately, early indications suggest that Sony's new flagship will not reach North America.
Generally speaking, the company has not been explicit about the contents of tomorrow's launch event. Instead, it has gone as far as tease that 'Chapter 6' is incoming in what is widely expected to be a reference to just the WH-1000XM6 rather than the WF-1000XM6 as well.
Various leaks have underlined that only the WH-1000XM6 is forthcoming, too. Now, Sony itself has been caught confirming as much ahead of schedule. Seemingly spotted by The Walkman Blog, the store listings for the WH-1000XM6 are not quite live yet.
Nonetheless, they have already appeared within Sony's search results on certain regional websites. While we cannot currently find a corresponding US result, Eurozone and UK results confirm launch prices of €449.99 and £399.98, respectively. Likewise, they outline that Sony will offer its next pair of over-ear headphones in Black, Midnight Blue and Platinum Silver colour options. Seemingly, all SKUs should start shipping from May 16 onwards too.
