Oukitel has introduced a new smartphone called the WP55 Pro. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025, which is not exactly a high-end chipset but supports 5G. Two SIM cards can be used simultaneously, as long as users don’t need the second slot for a microSD card. But since the internal 512GB mass storage is generously sized, many users probably won’t have to expand it. The smartphone also has 16GB RAM and runs on the latest version of Android.
Oukitel further advertises a height of 0.6 inches, which is relatively thick for a smartphone. That said, the WP55 Pro is a rugged and more robust smartphone with IP68 and IP69K certifications. The huge 11,000mAh battery also contributes to the larger dimensions and weight, but it can be charged fairly quickly with up to 33 watts.
The phone also has a 6.58-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and refresh rate of 120Hz. Moreover, the main camera has a very high resolution of 108 megapixels, even though that’s not a guarantee for good picture quality. The remaining camera setup consists of an 8MP night vision camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 32MP selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the fingerprint sensor is located on the side and not under the display, but the handset offers some practical features such as a digital compass. However, this Oukitel WP55 Pro lacks some other advanced features, such as a very loud speaker or large flashlight. Anyhow, the phone is now available via import from Aliexpress for prices starting around $257 excluding shipping and import fees. Many Oukitel smartphones eventually become available on Amazon, which might also apply to the WP55 Pro.
